We wrap up our 3 episode Jedi Academy trilogy with a bang as we explore Champions of the Force! We take a deep dive into some parallels and divergences between Legends (Kyp) and Canon (Kylo) and discuss the impact on Luke and how he plans to move forward with his Jedi Praxeum. We head over to the criticism corner to dissect the parts of this trilogy that aren't that great, but save the best parts with "I Will Make It Canon."
Tune in next week as we jump back to Canon with Marvel's "The Screaming Citadel" arc and do our first exploration into the "Legends of Luke Skywalker" anthology.

This week we continue our Jedi Academy series with part 2: Dark Apprentice. We take a look at Luke's troubling early track record at his Jedi Praxeum, the nuance that may be lost in abridged audiobooks vs. novels, the severe talent management problem that exists in the New Republic, and draw some interesting connections between this Legends story and sequel era Canon films. Then we ramble for awhile about the score/soundtrack to the Prequel films in the first part of a new segment.

This week we kick off another back-to-back-to-back Legends trilogy event! Kevin J. Anderson picks up the pieces from Dark Empire and starts the story of the formation of Luke's original Jedi Academy. This is a great story with some great new characters - Admiral Daala, Gantoris, Mary Sue Kyp Durron - as well as new locations like Kessel and not-quite-Canto-Bight. We also cover some big Star Wars news stories, visit the Dejarik Table, and try to figure out what gifts the main cast of the OT and Sequels would give for Christmas.

Back to Marvel's Star Wars this week, as we watch Luke read a textbook! It's alright though, because he's learning about the biggest, baddest, greenest Jedi there ever was, Master Yoda. Maybe Luke will get around to saving C-3P0 in the next arc. Jesse covers the new 2019 Battlefront II roadmap at the "Dejarik Table." We also debut a new segment titled "It Came From Reddit" where Mike trolls Jesse with real and fake Reddit theories.
